Who we are

Tech Ninjas Inc. (“Tech Ninjas”, “Team Tech Ninjas”, “we” or “us”) provides technology, security, networking, automation, website and marketing services to homes and businesses in and around Edmonton, Alberta, and online. Our website is https://techninjasinc.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at info@techninjasinc.com.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you chat with our website assistant, book an appointment, ask for a quote or contact us, you may give us your name, phone number, email address, company name, the city or address where the work would be done, how soon you need it, and details about the service you need.
  • Chat conversations. The messages you type into the chat on our website, and a short summary of your request that is prepared for our team.
  • Appointment details. The day, time and type of appointment you book (phone call, video call or site visit).
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our site receives standard technical information from your browser when you visit. We use it only to keep the website and chat secure, prevent spam and abuse, and make sure things work properly.

Our website chat assistant

The chat on our website is an AI (artificial intelligence) assistant, not a person. It can answer questions about our services, check our availability, book phone calls, video calls and site visits, and pass your request to Team Tech Ninjas, who will follow up with you personally. It does not give prices; quotes always come from our team.

To reply to you, your chat messages are processed by the AI service provider that powers the assistant. Please do not share passwords, payment card numbers or other sensitive information in the chat. Your conversation is saved in your browser so you can pick it up where you left off, even after you close the tab. It is cleared automatically 12 hours after your last message.

How we use your information

  • To answer your questions and respond to your requests.
  • To prepare quotes and plan the work you ask for.
  • To book, confirm and manage appointments, including confirmation and reminder emails that let you cancel if you need to.
  • To contact you about your request by phone or email.
  • To keep accurate business records.
  • To protect our website and services from spam, fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send you marketing emails without your permission.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with trusted service providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need to provide their service to us. These include our website hosting provider, our email and calendar provider (Google), Google Meet for video appointments, the AI service that powers our chat assistant, and the automation platform that connects these systems. These providers may only use your information to provide services to us. Some of them may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies and browser storage

Our chat saves your conversation in your browser’s local storage so you can continue it later, even after closing the tab. It is cleared automatically 12 hours after your last message, and you can remove it sooner by clearing this website’s data in your browser. Our website may also use a small number of essential cookies needed for it to work. We do not use advertising cookies.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information only as long as we need it to serve you, follow up on your request, and meet our legal, tax and business record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected systems, and limiting access to Team Tech Ninjas. No method of storing or sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to protect yours.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (unless we must keep it for legal reasons), or tell us to stop contacting you. Just email info@techninjasinc.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
